~ Player registration deadline is Feb 20, 2010 ($20 late fee thereafter)
~ All Star Uniforms: March 27 will be "amnesty night" at the League Wide Meeting (Brentwood Bingo Hall) for turning in 2009 All-Star uniforms - no questions asked! We know you are busy but our 2010 All Star players will not have uniforms because as of today not all uniforms were returned from 2009. All-Star uniforms are to be returned to the league ~ thank you!!
~ Picture Day will be March 20, 2010
~ Aquafina is again hosting the Pitch - Hit - Run contest on March 20, 2010. This is open to ALL CHILDREN ages 4 - 18 not just DCBA members.

Please do not wait to receive a call from your Coach or Team Mom.
If you think a game may be rained out, please call the RAIN LINE as this will be the first place updated.
Tips:
Just because it is raining at your house does not mean it is raining at the field - Call the rain line.
Rain may not cause the cancellation of your game - Call the rain line.
Just because it rained earlier in the day does not mean we will not play games - After rain events all are asked to come out, work on the field & try to get the field ready to get the game in - this is a team effort!
When in doubt - call the RAIN LINE!
Deep Creek Baseball Association would like to extend a VERY SPECIAL thank you to William Sheeley for organizing & building the bridge behind the DCMS Pony field.
This was a much needed project and our thanks run deep.
We wish you much success William & extend our sincere appreciation!
Deep Creek Park Update
Good news from the City recently... The current plan is calling for the following schedule:
October 2009 - Accepting bids
November 2009 - Contract award
December 2009 - Construction begins
November 2010 - Completion of Phase 1
If this schedule holds we could actually be playing ball on our new fields by Spring 2011! Thanks to the support of the Deep Creek community this project is moving forward after sitting stalled for 12+ years. Way to go Creek!

Congratulations to Mr. Roy Huber
DCBA Manager of the Year Award for 2009

Roy was nominated because of his fantastic attitude toward his players, parents and the league. Roy truly has the best interest of every child (not just HIS players) at heart. His dedication to our community and our children is only one of the qualities that made him this years top candidate.
Congratulations Coach Roy!
And special thanks to all of our 2009 coaches, what a wonderful group of volunteers!
